Assuming the weather doesn't totally suck at the weekend we hope to meet some friends for a family pedal and picnic somewhere roughly between/in middle of Bromley and Portsmouth.

Youngest rider is four, capable of ten or eleven flat miles.

Try the Downs Link route. We normally start from the car park in Bramley (next to what was the station) and head South towards Cranleigh. Did that section a couple of weeks ago with 5 and 6 year old and took a picnic with us. There are no specific picnic sections (at least not between Bramley and Cranleigh) but there are places where you can stop and sit on a wall and eat. The whole route runs right down to the coast so various places you could start.

Leith Hill can't be far off. You could picnic up around the cricket pitch at coldharbour and ride the new summer lightening trail which I would say is mostly fine for a four year old. Depends if you want to ride somewhere or have a picnic with places for the kids to ride.

Thanks folks. Done Alice Holt once before for walking. I will check out the other two.

Swinley could be an option, closer to Bromley than Alice Holt and the blue trail would probably be an enjoyable ride out.
