Had a lad contact me this morning asking about swapping his 2015 stumpy frame for my Trance.
He couldn't show me any pictures.
He couldn't tell me what size it is.
He said he had only just pushed it home from the shop but then changed his story to one that he won it in a downhill competition in France. .
Then said I could buy it today for 600 even though he had been offered 650 for it already.
Scary, very scary.
Then sends me this .....
When you get sponsorship you can let things go
cheap well that depends on you but one thing if something is 1150 new wot it worth second hand then mate also think wot u like thts your problem
That's how you can come across on here sometimes...
Can someone translate the second post (appreciate its not your words OP).
Single speed stu. How do you figure that champ.
Your posts sometimes come across as inane incoprehensible bollox.
BTW have you finaly admitted to yourself that the Trance doesn't fit you?
Nope trance fits fine champ.
You do realise that if my posts on here are that bad you don't have to open them or even reply to them.
That's why you're trying to swap it then...
Yes I just open them for the entertainment. Sad I know but it's still funny.
renton - the guy is obviously trying to sell you a stolen bike.
It seems like you replied to them and got into an argument. I wouldn't bother doing that, just ignore them.
Pinkbike is full of zoomers- the endless negotiators and the part exers especially. But the weird thing is the sincere ones, when I was selling my horrible Ellsworth (which had an ad like "This is an old piece of shit, it comes with some free parts which are rubbish, and a broken fox shock which is still better than the swinger") I got this one dude who seemed like a classic endless-negotiator-then-vanisher, then he turned out to be in Germany to add to the timewaster factor... Then he bought it for my asking price, and paid about £40 for shipping on top of the £200 horrible frame! Madness.
Single speed stu.
Are you saying that the large trance frame is too small for all of the other 6 foot odd riders that are on them or just me because I'm a bit fatter.
I'm not saying anything other than you have posted on here looking for confirmation that it's the right size and now you're trying to swap it. 😆
As for fatness knock yourself out bigboy your weight has nothing to do with anything when it comes to bike size.
I've sold far more on pinkbike with far less hassle than I have on here.
Far better website content too
I'm not trying to swap it. I'm fitting a dropper to it later in the week.
It feels fine eventually. Just took a bit of getting used to that's all.
Had a lad contact me this morning asking about swapping his 2015 stumpy frame for my Trance.
Were did that come from then?
I've never had anyone contact out of the blue trying to swap a frame.
There again I've not started multiple post along the lines of "is my bike too small for me/ does my bike fit me/ here's a picture of me on my bike does it look the right size."
Keep it up though as it's quite amusing.
Or just ride the ****er and get on with it. 🙂
Are you sure you aren't this nutjob from pinkbike.
Let it go man. I'm happy with the bike.
I hope you are.
At least it'll stop your constant stream of does my bike fit me posts.
May I dare ask why a bike you are completely happy with and are fitting a dropper post to is up for sale on PB.
Or will you call me names again.
Its the same wherever you go IMO - saying that at least they've made the effort to cut out the 'optimistic swapper' - I once had a Cove Shocker listed on there, had offers every day, the 'best' one was for TWO Xboxes (one working, one broken) a 50cc Chinese 'ped without an MOT (just needs a tyre mate, but I've lost the failure sheet) and a Nokia phone.
Jmatlock.... It was for sale over a week ago but isn't now.

Nail/Hammer/Head/Hit.
You ask peoples opinion then get all defensive when they give it.

Has it "grown" on you? 😉
Glad you and the bike have bonded over the last week. No one likes expensive mistakes.
Gonna miss the threads though, they were golden.
Closure? 😆
Yep sorry to disappoint again.
Also sorry for calling you a knob. It's a bit frustrating when you aren't gelling with something that you have spent a lot of cash on and someone is rubbing it in.
Hey ho life's to short.
Happy trails !!
Why do you assume I am disappointed.
I have done it myself with various stuff. It's shit, but a hard learning experience.
Life is too short to put up with something that's not working for you. I got the size of my Camber right but it's taken a few quid and a lot of time to get if perfect. I certainly didn't love it from minute 1.
Why would someone offer to swap or even buy if you are happy with it....
Are they mind readers or wild guessers? 😉
Hora your guess is as good as mine matey.
Bought that commecal/liteville/ what ever else is on your list yet ???
As if Hora can try and clown someone over being indecisive.
Stand down Hora, you're worse than Renton.
On the flip side i have had way more success selling stuff on Pinkbike than on here. There are some mentalists but there is a different demographic generally on there than here.
Had a guy come over from Glenrothes to buy a shock i was selling this week. Top lad and he was so mad about this really old DH bike he was keeping running. It was a breath of fresh air over the endless dull shite that this place can throw out.
OP - ignore them. Yes, you've posted a bit often here recently, but if you're happy with the bike just let all the stalkers go. They'll soon find someone else to tease.
'will you swap it for an xbox 360 and nine games?' is my favourite one.
No one is stalking or teasing.
Surely friendly digs and ribbing about set up and kit is the staple of mates and cycling.
Don't look for stuff that's not there.
I've been on holiday.. Is the bike too small? Try a longer stem and a red jersey.
I'll pour myself another glass and pop by later to see how this pans out.
Cloudnine, how long was your holiday?
It's had new forks
78 spacers to make the bars the right height
Been for sale/swap on PB but not here
Is now perfect and no longer for sale but still recieving offers for swaps.

Doesn't sound like he wants to be your mate.
Wow.. Somehow missed all that fun... I've only been away a week.
Sounds like it's a bit small.
Sell it to Hora.
Two birds/One stone.
It's got six spacers.... Keeping the steerer long in case I swap the frame lol !!!**
I'm everybody's friend me.
** This is a joke btw
