Apologies if this has been asked before (search function not working for me) but here goes anyway…

I’ve been on the hunt for a cheap-ish, easily serviceable bouncy fork for the SS

27.5 wheels

100mm

non-boost (not a deal breaker as hub end caps can sort this)

straight steerer

enter a search for a set of Rockshox Reba’s as they seem to tick all boxes and were recommended by STW hive in a previous, long forgotten thread

18 months (or more) later…still haven’t found what I’m looking for

Cutting a long story short…

Rebas for 29” wheels, would they work with 27.5 wheels or would it throw the geometry out or cause any major issues with the bike / ride itself

Is it possible to install travel reducing spacers if the forks travel is bigger than 100mm?! Again, would it cause any issues with anything at all?

frame is a 2007 Surly 1x1 and Halo MT hub if that’s of any help

thanks in advance you wonderful people
