Any suggestions on some decent MTB events to get stuck into?
I try to do as many of the Evans or Wiggle (UK CYcling events now?) as I can, but UKCyclingEvents has nothing MTB this year, possibly a website issue so have emailed them.

SDW 100, L2B Offroad, BHF Peak District, all of interest, plus the 20 - 40 mile ones by those listed above... any other suggestions from anyone for a decent say 4/5 and 5/5 organised event????

Possibly small group ones where someone experienced leads you round some awesome trails as well??

Cheers

I've been on a couple run by Trail Break ( https://www.trailbreak.co.uk/) - very good. Great routes and an excellent team - I'd highly recommend. Definitely a step up from the Evans' ones.

Hope that helps

Rich

Heaven Of The South is always a good one, all the tickets will be sold by now, but some usually pop up on here in the run up.

The Dyfi Enduro is a fun event/weekend and appears to still have tickets up for grabs-which is very unusual as it usually sells out quickly.

The Scott MTB Marathons are good events around the country.

If you can read a map then Mountain bike orienteering is a larf, just got back from today's event, good crack, good bunch of people and good feed afterwards for a very reasonable price.

What he ^^^^ said (who may or may not be my brother 🙂 )

Got the OMM Festival coming up at the start of May around Cannock Chase. 7 hours riding/racing on the Saturday and 5 hours on the Sunday if you do the long course. Plus grub at the end. £60 for weekend with camping included.

Worth checking out the Channel Events 'Triple' - 30-35 miles in Exmoor, Quantocks and the Mendips. I marshalled at the Quantock Quake last year and really nice atmosphere and good route that took in a lot of the good stuff.

Entry to the Mendip Murmuration gets you into the South West Outdoor Festival too I think.
