Can I use 29" slime tubes in a 650B tyre? Cannot be arsed with tubeless cannot find 27.5" slime tubes

Can you patch slime tubes? Is that a really stupid question.

Yes, 29" tubes will probably work fine. 26" might work better as they're closer in size. They're all stretch after all. No, you can't easily patch them.

Better option would be a 650b tube with some stans sealant injected into it, IMO.

You'd be better off using 26" tubes as they're almost the same size as 650b

Patching slime tubes isn't easy.

I cannot find any 650b tubes with valves that I could get stans into?

Because nobody in their right mind would do that.

Why not? I am talking about the valves where you can remove the body and pour slime in?

Better to use a 26" tube.

Dont understand why youd choose the worst of both worlds.

Tubed or tubeless. Not tubeless tubes.

Tubeless is pretty easy if you follow the rules, or simply pop your wheels to your LBS and get them to do it for you.

a bit of sealant in a regular inner tube is a great compromise if you current tyre/rim combo doesn't want to go on tubeless or ghetto tubeless. and you don't want to shell out the cash on the conversion.
presta or schreider so long as you can unscrew valve core. some cheap prestas you can't.

i have been doing this for a coupla years, tho i also run proper tubeless where tyre/rim permit, and i haven't had a proper puncture since, or had a ride 'ruined' by having to fix a puncture.

one tyre was not holding air after a while, and when i popped it off to look there were about 20 thorns in there, so tube and sealant were doing not bad!

i also use car tyre sealant from halfods type place. only good with schreider as too viscose for presta, but WAY cheaper.

also handy if you want to change tyres, just a bit easier anyways.

26" slime tube is fine. You can get 26" tubes with removable cores but I've never heard of people chucking stans in
