planning first bivvy trip any suggestions as far as bike security etc whilst asleep

I've always taken the precaution of taking as much whisky as I think I'll need, and then taking some more.

It's always worked for me.

An ultralight solution would be some fishing line.

Tie one end to your ear and the other to your bike anybody tries to whip it and they'll have to take you with them.

(unless of course your ear come off first but at least you'll wake up)

Monkey puzzle helmet lock?

(put your helmet (bike helmet) straps through the wheel and around the rear stays and clip it up, cover it with a bag)

In all seriousness unless you're biving right in a town this should not matter, I've bivied on Leith hill FFS. No worries, just choose your site, It's not hard to find a place where you will be undiscovered between 8 pm and 7 am.
