Currently building a Dawes tamarak from all the old parts I have for popping to the shop or general riding about. It came with rst forks originally unfortunately these are seized up solid. I’m interested in fitting some rigid forks. Would this be possible and can anyone recommend any ? They need to have disc mount.
Thanks
Tom
For an old banger I'd consider turning the current fork rigid with araldite.
Slight issue I’s there gone already so I’m formless 😂
Forkless
Ah. Assuming this is a 1 1/8 straight steerer frame, and your not fused about geometry too much, get scanning the classifieds for an old kona fork or similar which has a long enough steerer tube.
yeah its just standard 1 1/8th straight steer tube. ive been looking at these https://airbike.uk/products/mountain-bike-fork-rigid-hard-fork-black-26-inch-aluminium-1-1-8-disc-brake?currency=GBP&variant=39556351590533&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=Google%20Shopping&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIg6TU7Z3a-AIVBurtCh0enAuxEAQYASABEgKPIPD_BwE or something similar anyway as they have disc mount.

I bought some 1 1/8 forks with disk mounts from Identiti. We're just over £100 from memory
other option is ive been offered some cheap SR Raidon RLR Air 120 forks with a steerer that has never been cut but the original forks were like 80mm travel i think and these are 120 so i didnt know if it was maybe abit to much.
Surly do some good steel forks. Not the cheapest although they come up used
Have you been to exotic carbon. They do some good rigid fork options. Sadly I’ma touch over their weight limit

Go and put a wanted thread on retrobike.co.uk, someone will have what you need, either suss or rigid.
I'd just bang "rigid disc fork" in eBay and see what's about...
Yeah that’s my plan to be honest.
Either of these should be fine, I can run a 26x2.3 Booze Light in my 700C P2 forks.
