I have a ss and a full sus 29er. I also have a solaris that fits sort of inbetween, doesn't see much use now. Don't really see in what circumstance I'd choose it to ride over either the Ss or the full sus. In people's experience is it worth keeping a bike as a 'when the other one breaks down' bike, or should I just sell it and clear some room in the garage? Don't like to see it going to waste! But then will I regret it? 🙁

You've already got one spare at any time, sell it now. Don't do what I've done and hang onto bikes forever until there totally valueless..

Could you run the Solaris Single speed and get rid of the SS? The Solaris is a very versatile bike.
Does seem that you have a lot of cross over. I have a Solaris and dont think id ever want to get rid. But each to their own.

Ye exactly I don't want to pull it out in 3 years and it be dated and worthless. The full sus is still a light enough one to ride all day, and I love riding the Ss. The Ss is a pretty versatile/fun build so as much as I do love the Solaris, and if I had to have one bike it would undoubtedly be that, bizarrely I cant really fit it in while I have two!

There seems to be no such thing as a used medium Solaris, it's weird.

Do you need the money or the space?

If yes to either, sell.
If not, don't.
