What are you good folks using and what do you rate?

For various reasons I can't run a power supply to my bike shed at the minute, so need something to see by so I don't trip over stuff (not necessarily loads of light for working).

Cheers!

I'm using a Solar mate 0.5
Solarmate

Enough light to find things when it's dark, but not really enough to work by.

There are similar ones on ebay for £15-20.

Looking at something like this when I get my new shed. Charges up a car or leisure battery so should last a while.

I dont have the best eyesight and found the ones that charge a little light not quite bright enough so i would avoid - you could find things but not really do much in that light

all the pies kit looks intereting but costly and you need a leisure battery

I've been using a similar kit to the Maplins one for the last 18 months or so. I've got an 18w panel charging a car battery through a charge controller. I've got two small strip lights and a 12v CFL hooked up to it. The CFL is 18w (I think) and provides enough light to work in the shed at night.
I haven't flattened the battery yet, even during the winter when working out in the shed for a 2/3 hours on consecutive evenings.
I used that site that allthepies links to for guidance.
