I thinking of doing the soggy bottom race in Newnham park, Plymouth in jan next year.
Has anyone got any experience with the race, distances, conditions etc....

Done these for the last 7 years or so. About 1.5 hrs, good courses can be quite tough and fairly technical but rideable by all. Newnham offers some classic courses.

Go for it! the Soggies were my first try at racing, I've always enjoyed them- its always been very friendly and a good place to start. There are various races to enter: fun which is a lap shorter and in the morning, and then the afternoon races depending on your age group. Conditions- its usually pretty muddy, if not icy at that time of year. Bacon sarnie and hot cup of tea at the end though, whats not to like 😀

Used to race the Soggies when I lived there and did one last year. Excellent course and very well run.
