You start riding and are confronted with this!

I'd give up and go home crying.

Looks quite tricky - hate Northshore let alone when it’s wet. Some of that stuff was so narrow too. Some punchy drops in there too.

Has anyone ever ridden this stuff in Squamish.?  It looks scary/fun but the northshore stuff in particular looks terrifying.  Climate looks to be very scottish-like but they don't seem to put anything on the timber sections for grip.? It must be like riding on greased ice for half of the year.

I was impressed how smooth DD's riding remained when he fell off the woodwork 🙂

@H1ghland3r
split cedar is supposedly really quite grippy. somrthign to do with teh texture and the tannins prevent it going super smooth like yer average softwood.

i`d love to build more stupid woodwork but its a total H&S risk so you can only do it in a private park here. also unless its chickenwired its actual death in even slighly damp conditions.

Yeah this. It smells really nice and it's very grippy when it's wet. Not like the lethal, icy crap they build everywhere else.

Ahh that explains it.  Thanks for the tip, I'll be able to hold onto the contents of my bladder a bit longer if I ever make it out there.! 😀
