So a mate came through for me with a reverb to use on my new build except it safs 2 odd inches and the remote does nothing to drop any further. Call it a suspension post as it were. 😂

It undoubtedly needs looking at to get it to work whereas I need a working dropper like NOW!

So what are my choices for a 31.6mm 150mm and must be externally routed cable (mechanical innards instead of hydraulic) dropper post are there out there?

Would prefer to spend as close to £100 as possible so yeah as we say moon on a stick content.

Really like the idea of the Bike Yoke Revive but looks like internal routed only?

tia whilst I consume my steak, mushrooms/onion & spicy seasoned fries 👍

Drill your frame, it's much tidier.

I’ve seen a DVO that I reckon could be the one

I'd buy a Tranzx YSP29 (150mm/170mm external) if I could find anywhere selling it

Brand X ascend. Cheap and cheerful but just seem to work. Can't say that I've noticed any more or less play than any other post.

PNW are selling a 125/150/170mm external routed dropper, looks suspiciously like the BrandX/TranzX post. Works out a bit more expensive than internal routed, but if you really don't want to drill a frame it's an option.

170mm external dropper

I've always gone for the KS Lev for this situation as I liked the cable junction box on the collar and the posts never gave me any trouble.

I understand there are other external posts with the same junction box design now though.

Yep Uptimizer… 155mm drop and the cable enters at the collar.

Thanks guys!

I have actually got a Brand X coming now but only 125mm drop but couldn’t bring myself to find an extra £107 for a Cascade PNW.

Got enough left over for a bleed of the reverb?

No which is why a reverb servicing guy will be buying it off me for £40.

Unless anyone wants a 31.6mm 125mm drop external reverb for £45 posted.
