So I have created a space in the garage for another bike, chances are I won’t use it much if at all, but I like the idea of a pub bike & I like building & admiring bikes, so what do I build from the following frames?

Original Cove Stiffee

Turner Burner, the old 26” one.

Pipe dream Ti thing, it was there original demo & tripplebutted/ quite light

Charge Duster skinny, never rode the damn thing due to stupid long head tube that I don’t have forks to fit except some steel ones that look shit.

On-one Scandal 29er, again the original one (I keep stuff for far to long)

Viper The 29er, A bit big for me & again I don’t think I have suitable forks except the steel ones.

Singular Pegasus Ti, I broke it but had it repaired & not ridden since.

Then we have the question of how i build it, rigid/suss (not the Turner obvs) SS or geared, 1x or 2/3x, tough build or light?

I’m thinking Stiffee with forks & 1X or Pipedream rigid & bodged SS, what would you build?

Cheers.

The Pipedram has the same geo as the Stiffee but it’s Ti, are you sure? 😂

Burner!

Although it's going to be the hardest one to do if you have to go hunting for straight steerer forks to suit it now...

Might be interested in the Pipedream if you're thinking of selling.

A ti. Pipedream (I loved my 853 Scion) and ti. Singular Pegasus (I'm currently riding a Swift) hardly fit my definition of crap (I wish I had such crap in my loft).

It’s not crap,it’s just not worth selling for what it’s woth. The repair on the Pegasus cost me £100,what could I get £250? I would be gutted to sell it for that given what I have paid out.

If anyone had a museum for old bikes I would donate the frames I have on the condition that they couldn’t be sold for profit, I had a Muddy Fox interactive that went to an enthusiast for very little on the same terms, I just don’t want to sell stuff I paid a fortune to buy for so little it makes me cry 😭

If this is a stealth ad I'd be interested in the Stiffee! If not I'd build the Singular - i agree with your logic- not worth selling.

Stiffee as a pub bike

Burner as a retro project

Pegasus as a flat bar monstercrosser type thing with as much titanium as you can lay your hands on.

sharkattack, sadly not, I think it’s 2003 & never had proper use.

as for the Stealth ad, I’m happy to pass things on if I could get a decent price or you can prove you have a genuine interest in the bike & not just looking for a cheap frame, I would rather sell the Turner to a real enthusiast who would display/ use it as that is what it deserves.

cheers.

Hi,

There is one. In Arnhem, in Netherlands.

Jeroen is Man-in-Command there. Lovely bloke. Been there a week ago as a part of SSEC.

If you want to donate any of your bikes, frames or bits, there is hardly any better place to go.

Cheers!

I.

There are a bunch of retro facebook groups about which is probably a good place to check

Titanium pub bike? Jesus, my housemates are always telling me I spend too much on bikes and I'm a long way from that... 🙂

I'd auction whatever you don't use and give the money to some sort of good cause. You'd likely get a fair bit more for stuff if it were for charity.

Oh, I'd build the Ti Pipedream into a super-light XC rigid single speed 650b conversion thing. Or may be I'd at least put 1x10 on it.

The Scandal.

Build it as a singlespeed gravel/softroads bike with fast rolling tyres. Light, fast, what's not to like? 🙂

Mine was great like that.
