Even the 12 year old are doing it.

Apparently they're not only the youngest to do it, but of all the people who attend Summit, none have done it, young or old. Only Tom Reynolds and some of the other teachers and some super pro types.

Massive balls on the 12 year old that's for sure.

That's ace two thumbs up. We looked at those last weekend from the trail and wondered who would be brave enough. None of our group.

Not me either mate. My lad and his mate Olly did though. My lad turned 12 in July, Olly a few months earlier.
Olly aced it first and did it 3 times before my boy went, the stealing the record of youngest rider lol.

Me, I semi spannered myself 10 mins before going for the bigger of the drop lines. At home feeling delicate now with hand that's a bit meh.

Seeing them 2 and 2 others chasing eachother down the jump line was like watching the recent Atherton video. Awesome.

Awesome! Top lad!

Are the summit trails open for anyone to use?

Remember reading something about a subscription service...

Nicely done, but I can't imagine I would walk within 2 foot of the edge!

Are these open as part of the normal trails, or is this their specific 'freeride' zone you have to pay for? Any other big stuff there?

Pay for. We pay £15 per month for 2*3 hour sessions on Saturday per month.

Plenty of stuff there yes, some big, some easy, some crazy.

Great stuff.

Love it how his mate chases him to (presumably) congratulate him.

They're both blocked off and padlocks on them. They are opened up once you've 'qualified'

If I lived closer to Swinley I’d definitely join the Summit as it looks a great place to progress skills.

Seems they do some trial days, details of the next one below. they normally share the dates on FB:

Our Membership Trial Sessions are back! From the success of the last ones we did, we are opening The Summit to non-members for another day of sessions – and during Half Term (Monday 26th October)! So if you are hesitant to sign up to The Summit and you would like to ride the trails inside for 2 hours without the coaching or commitment to signing up, then these are perfect for you and/or your kids! Click the links below to book yourself in before they get fully booked and tag your mates to come along also! See you there!

Just for anyone interested, Summit is back open at the end of March, techincally 3rd April is our first date as it's the Sat, but i'm really looking forward to getting back to it as i feel with winter, injuries, crashes and surgery i've lost a bit of where i was 6-7 months ago in terms of feel, skills and ability. So can't wait to get back out.
