...on my SDW ride tomorrow!
Eek!
Better get munching early on......

Thankfully it's in a wingnut, so pretty comfortable.
And yes, I am taking a shock pump too ( so if anyone out there needs one tomorrow - keep an eye out for a blue commie meta!)

8kg?

There are enough taps that you'd only need 1.5l liquid, max - so what else have you got?

Good Luck but sure it's not needed. It's not that much to carry, at least you wont be short of stuff. It will also make you twice as tough as the weight weenies with 2 patches and a stick of gum between 12.

Fin....

1137 all in, start to finish. Aiming for sub 12, so happy.

Will give a bit more info later on-don't feel too bad currently, but I was really dragging the second half (did the first 50 miles in 5 hrs!)

Had a few ups and downs along the way (not including the MANY hills!)

Best bit -the entrepreneurial kids selling flapjacks just outside QECP.. "what's this in aid of then?" "toys" "fair enough, have a quid!"

A low point -passing each member of a group of leisure riders, some fixing bikes-asking "you alright" and getting zero reply from any of them...was feeling annoyed, then saw the front two communicating. I'd have had a better respond if I could sign... Eek!

Hope the guys I saw with ripped mechs got back to civilization, and the stag do group have fun at the hostel!

My full pack usually weighs at least 7kg at the start of a ride......3kg is water, armour strapped on, a few tools, 2 tubes + CO2 canisters and a jacket.......I`m only 66kgs, so more than 10% 🙄

Are you trying to tell us that:

1. You never ride hard enough to sweat heavily.
2. You can't imagine anyone riding that hard for a number of hours.

Silly.
