Birthday today and had no real desire to celebrate as I'm more concerned with helping my wife recover from her 2nd spinal op. Now as some of you know I recently sold my 29er to help cover her medical bills and realising it might be some time before I get out again.
Now my wife is a very selfless person and said she felt guilty about my sale of the Salsa Horsethief which I really loved.
So in her typical selfless way she (well the kids did she's bed resting) produced this.
A massive thank you to my wife and kids

No idea when I'll get out but it's there if I can

100 million points to you (for selling in the first place) and to the Mrs for that. I had a fondle of one of them in the shop, that's a proper bike that is. 8)

amazing..... can you buy your wife some flowers from us?

I've PP'ed you something to get started, a few more might want to. If there's any left over, buy the rest of the fork (or put it in her favourite charity's pot)

Finally got out yesterday on the lefty, but firstly a massive thank you to everyone who wished my wife a speedy recovery from her spinal surgery.
Since getting the bike I've made a few changes
New carbon bars and Esi grips
Sunrace 11-40 cassette and 32t oval chainring
Maxxis dhf 3C and Aggressor rear tyre.
To be honest riding on the trails initially felt odd looking down to find a one stancion fork but after a few minutes I was too busy concentrating on the trail ahead as the bike is so nimble and fast I forgot about the lefty.
The lefty fork just floats over roots and rutts with ease but is stiff and responsive when called upon. The frame has very little flex when accelerating out of the turns and to be honest climbs fantastically, I've had 4 29er bikes and this climbs and covers ground as well as they did.
Where I ride this bike has everything I need and being a serial bike changer this is a keeper.
So thank you to my wife and kids for rejuvenating my desire to get up the mountains.
