.... To the Jeffsy 29

I'm impressed. 😃

Not muddy yet (where I went I mean) so I won't comment on that yet.....

Indexing and shifting is superb, ratios available even more so....

I came from an 11 speed X1/ GX setup and didn't expect much difference other than the ratios but the shifting is much crisper in my opinion.

Changes to the full GX setup are:

X01 shifter (I like to be able to move the down shifter lever a few degrees)

AbsoluteBlack Oval N/W 32T chain ring on RF Turbine crank.

The new type jockeys that are designed to stop the chain wedging in the mech cage. 👍

Due to the extra range I've gone from a 30T ring to a 32T which gives me a little more range at both ends.

No, you don't need 12 speed.....but it is rather good. 😊

I'm really impressed with mine, it's not quite as nice a shifter as my 10 speed Saint but it's not far off. Considering the price I'm well pleased so far. I just used full GX in the end

but no index finger upshift. I use index finger shifting all the time on my shimano equipped bikes. Rarely use my thumb to upshift.

You get used to the thumb only shifting very quickly, however if you go back to 1x11 from eagle you don't half miss that 50t!!

This +1 other than that I never notice the extra ratio. It's just as clunky as any other Sram gearing too

I would think it's ok with the Hope mate.

The AB Oval is listed as ok for 10, 11 and 12 speed from memory.... So I reckon the chain is perfectly happy on an 11 speed chainring. 👍

I've been SRAM for some time now so thumb shifting is fine by me btw guys. 😃 I much prefer the feel of sram shifting anyway....

Thankfully! Sram clunk-clunk is so good Shimano ripped it off for their best ever shifter.
