actually, the shot is nothing like as good as it looked at the time - I think the camera sees a lot more UV than I do despite the filter 🙁

What a stunningly clear day. Terrific.

I've felt a slight proprietorial interest in Scafell Pike all year as I was on the summit at midnight on New Years Eve 🙂

I'd never spotted Sca Fell from here before as it merges into the Coniston ridge, but today the greater snow cover gave enough contrast to make it out!

I can't see the crow. Maybe it's flown a different way today

What lens did you use for that pic then, Simon?

I was careless with the magic wand tool. The pic was initially very muddy so I had to play with the contrast on the sky to make it more realistic.

same as usual silly boy 🙂

me either! With it being so clear I could see it was further away, and when I drew a straight line from Lancaster town hall to Scafell Pike on Memory Map, it goes right over Coniston Old Man 🙂

I assumed you were taking the piss as you know I always use the same lens, and the lens isn't important anyway.
