Has anyone been on the path from the top of Macdui down past Loch Etchechan and into Glen Derry in the last few weeks? If so, is there much snow on the path please? Any pics?

worth checking / asking over on winterhighland. I know that at Cairngorm, there's still good cover down the Cas bowl and down Coire na Ciste to the boardwalk, but that's pretty sheltered - I'm not familiar with Ban Macui so don't know how it compares

That slope holds the snow pretty well... and if its full of snow its the perfect angle for some snow riding (This was May 2009).

There is also a crap phone vid clip on utube (Maniacs BtoAtoB) from a few years ago.

Below Etchechan looked like this.
