Snapped the axle on a XTR spd - PDM970. I have a new axle assembly, but part of the axle assembly (the collar that seems to separate two sets of bearings) is absolutely wedged in the old pedal.
Any ideas before I get the bolt extractors out? Anyone had anything like this happen to them?

I'd be sending them back, Madison are very good on warranty replacements on XTR stuff.

I've already sent the axle itself back via my excellent lbs. I do wonder though, because the stuck collar thing might be part of the story, as in why the thing snapped in the first place.
