Found this strange damage on my saddle.. Looks to be like a pinch flatted tyre but on the saddle nose..

Does this needed replacing?

Thought so... Not sure what caused it though..

Gutted.. only put in on about 4-5 months ago and its about £80-100 to replace..

Can't at the moment but will when I get to a pc.. Its worm to the closed cell jell layer(fabric scoop saddle.. Very comfy but a tad expensive..)

Yes,I would. Perhaps a breed that's less liable to bite things.

Don't replace it now, wait until next year when they introduce the new saddle clamp standard, which is 32% stiffer and 11 mm lower profile.

Or 2 years later when they make another standard after realising people don't want stiffer saddles...

I've had a spare tri saddle of my road bike and had a closer look and it's just material wear.. But it looks like the shape made the wear worse.. Lovely saddle but not quite right for my riding
