make an external battery supply for a Garmin?
I have an edge but want to get over 24 hrs from it, is it possible to use either a Li-ion or rechargable AA type thing, wired up to a micro usb connector? The unit works whilst plugged into a charger/PC so i would have thought it is possible..but I'm a nupty so what do i know?
cheers
Rik

I built an external Li-Ion Battery for my E-trex Legend that lasted for days! but I drilled a small hole into the empty battery case and just soldered wires onto the pos and neg battery terminals inside. This also resolved it occasionally switching off mid ride.

To do your's & others i'd need to know the wiring configuration of the connector first.
