Was riding Jacobs Ladder on Saturday having quite a lot of fun when I was about a third of the way down I dropped into one of the gullys which is the normal line I take. The rear made a weird noise and didn't feel right so I stopped to find my mech not in such good condition and I had broken a spoke. At a guess the mech must have landed on a rock.

So I need a new rear mech to replace my XT non clutch, but not decided which one. I'm on a tight budget, meaning I will notice the money.

Deore £22.99

SLX £34.99

Zee £41.16

XT £42.99

They all seem good value for money which makes it a difficult choice... What does STW think?

Choose according to budget, tight budget = Deore. performance loss/gain - negligible
