So, I decided to straighten out the up shift lever of my SLX shifter that I bent having wiped out on a wet boardwalk some months back. To do so I had to remove the lever. Now I can't work out how it goes back together.

I know I should have photographed the assembly before removing it (water under the bridge now). Can anyone point me in the direction of an instruction/assembly manual? I've just spent the last hour trawling the interweb and come up with nothing.

Thanks
Dozy Idiot....

Anyone have a photograph or can take a photograph with cover removed? Just need to see the orientation of the pawl.

I can’t work out how it goes back together.

They aren't intended to be put back together. Trick is to not take them apart in the first place. Throw it in the bin and buy a new one.

is there a part number on the casing? have you tried searching for an image of that part?

I had to ID some spares for an XT rear mech, seemed to be fairly easy to find an exploded diagram once i looked for RD-M786

This is the exploded diagram for SL-M7000. Not a lot of use unfortunately as none of the parts are available or intended to be removed and replaced.

I once took apart a SRAM X-9 shifter.

The lever wasn't returning properly after shifts I had to pull it back manually.

I figured I could open it up and give it a clean and re-lube.

When I opened it up bits of springs and tiny parts flew everywhere, I gathered everything up and put it in a plastic bag to "sort out" later.

I bought a new shifter.

I found it several years later when i was doing a clear out.

I threw it in the bin.

It's a bit wasteful and defetest just to chuck somthing away because it's a bit MISALIGNED.
Not done that lever specifically, but I've had other ones apart and repaired. Fiddly buggers, but you'll get there in the end OP!
