I've just bought an slx shifter to match my new slx brakes. There both I-spec b. Do I need to buy a separate mounting kit to fit these together?

No, the shfter should have all the bits with it.

Thanks very much for the offer, I emailed bird bikes yesterday where I bought the shifter and they say it should have had the kit in so there gonna send me one.
