I know the current Shimano SLX crankset is cosmetically different from the previous 9-spd, but are they functionally identical? I'd like to fit the 10-spd 42/32/24 rings to my 9-speed setup on my SLX 9-spd cranks as I think I'd prefer the 42 and 24 to the 44 and 22.
