Hi all,
I recently got some SLX brakes. And wonderful they are too!
Had them fitted by the bike shop at the time.
Now I need to transfer them to a different bike and want to do this myself now. Problem is that the rear hose needs to be disconnected to get it off as the hose guides on my old frame are complete hoops that it passes through (does that make sense?) so I need to disconnect and thread the hose through.
So I am new to hydraulics (been a BB7 user for the past 10 years!) so is there an online guide somebody could direct me to that explains how to disconnect and reconnect and I guess bleed or add new olives or something like that? I'd like to do this myself and learn something new.
Thanks in advance

probably a combo of these
or similar Shimano Tech Docs - there are a load of how to vids if you google further
There are lots of guides to swapping/shortening brake hoses out there - it's a relatively straightforward procedure if you disconnect at the lever - you may not even need to re-bleed afterwards if you're careful, although you've got a bit more jiggery pokery feeding the hose through your guides.
eg
You may need a new olive - it's worth having it handy if you find you can't reuse the old one. The SLX comes with the bleed block etc, and you don't need much extra kit if you end up needing to bleed them.
