The brake levers on my bike suddenly seem to have developed a very slow return after being used. They've been fine since July - any thoughts? They seem to work fine just have lost the 'snap' on releasing the levers.
I had the hoses reduced in length in August, and they were also bled.
Three things I've seen cause this in brakes.
Sticky/dirty lever pivot.
Swollen/damaged seals in the master cylinder (caused by the use of the wrong lube/oil)
Snapped return spring in the master cylinder bore.
Try removing the lever and cleaning the pivots. After that, you're going to have to go inside.
Mine did this on first ever ride out. I was gutted. It was dirt in the pivot. Sorted.
