Ok my Ride Slovenia holiday at the end of June got cancelled due to some lameness from my south eastern based mates. So the Devon boys, consisting of short fat me and my devilishly handsome, if a bit skinny, mate, are looking for three days of allMountain/enduro/whatchamacallit in that there Wales.
As an alternative/tribute to the awesoem trails in Slovenia, we want big climbs with an awesome payoff, such as rooty, rocky, forest, cheeky, gnarly, flowy, mind, blowing descents.
If there is a pasty shop at the bottom or half way then so much the better.
And 2 nights accommodation recommendation.

Lend me your experience oh fellow travellers. I'll reward you with a pasty, or at least some clotted cream. Or a go on one of my sisters. (or brothers, equal opportunities exploitation of siblings here)

The bit about my sisters was a joke, if any of my sisters find out, then I'm gonna get kicked senseless, so get those ideas out of yer heads right now.
The brothers are still available though.

How many nights away? I assume you want to go from Exeter, so a day en-route a day at CYB and another day en-return? 2 nights away then?

Stay in Machynlleth, ride Syfydrin trail in Nant Yr Arian (absolutely mint!) on 1 day, ClimachX another day and Beast at CyB on another.

I'm off to Ride Slovenia early Sept. Sorry about that 🙂

CyB is very rocky. Mach+NyA silghtly less so. Some roots I suppose, but plenty techy enough.
NyA has a lovely section of old school double track riding in the middle. Takes you out into the wilderness a bit, and then its back into trail centre 🙂

My parents recommend the Royal Ship in Dollgellau.
But they are old.
