My sons Whyte 629 has a slipping chain. I've recently changed the cassette, chain and rear deraillier. Seems to be only slipping on the outer chainring. Looking at it I think the outer chainring is worn and causing the slip.
What do you all think?

Those teeth have lost about 60% of the material!

Jesus christ dude, that is not only extremely worn but extremely lethal, looks sharper than half of my saws.
That could slice open a femural artery with ease in a crash.

If you've done everything else and your doing the outer you might as well change the granny as well

Just look at the difference between the inner and outer chainring teeth!

Will the cranks need removing to change the outer ring?

It looks like he's never used the granny ring!
Yeah you'll need to remove the cranks to change the chainring, but it's gxp so you'll only need an 8mm Allen key.

I can always get my ring off without removing my crank, it's always worth trying first, then again if its been a while, a good inspection and re grease wouldn't hurt.
