Recieved some nice shiny Cromag 35mm carbon bars and a 35mm Cromag stem in the post yesterday to replace my ageing 31.8 set up.
Had everything prepped and ready, carbon paste to hand.
Paste applied, bars on, tightened up the stem faceplate slightly, all controls on, just grips to go then final tweaks to get everything in the right place.
Oh, DMR deathgrips need a slight tap to push them on right to the end of the bar. Cue a quick bash on the end of the bars. Damn it the stem faceplate wasn't tightened up enough, the bars have slipped through.
I've only gone and stripped some of the lacquer/paint off the centre of the bar with the edge of the stem clamp!
I am a ham-fisted moron!
Hopefully its just cosmetic!
