I'm just about to press the button on a new set of Revelations and was wondering if STW has an opinion on whether 130mm or 140mm would be best.  I do general trail centre riding, plenty of stuff on Dartmoor and occasional 12 hour solos.

I’ve got a 140 Sektor on my Slackline 631, perfect  balance I find and I believe what it was designed around.

I have Slackline next Gen and I recently sent my 120mm 2016 Fox 32 FIT4's away to TF tuned for a service, PUSH tune and to have the travel extended to 140mm. I got a call from Dave @ TFtuned to say that the chassis wouldn't accommodate 140mm airshaft so 130mm it would have to be, I was initially disappointed but when I got the forks back I immediately notice the difference from the 120 to 130mm on the climbs, I would have been the sort to say you wouldn't notice 10mm...but I did.

Ultimately im glad that the forks wouldn't go 140mm, the handling is still super sharp and nimble around the woods and im not hucking massive drops to flat. oh yeah and the PUSH tuned forks are like butter smooth.

I think I'm angling towards 130 as it sits right in the middle of the 120-140 quoted on the site.  Thanks for the advice.

I’ve had both in my Slackline. Old Pikes at 130, new Pikes at 140. While there is no doubt the new Pikes feel better than the previous version, I’m inclined to say it felt a little sharper at 130. The 10mm difference is noticeable, much to my surprise. Doesn’t climb as well and is a little lazier in the corners. 140 great when it gets really rowdy though, so I guess you need to decide what would be more beneficial to your riding.

Latest Slackline or the old one?

New one feels great with 140mm forks and was noticeably more nimble than my Switchback with 140mm forks. I’ll be in the minority, but I preferred my old Slackline with longer forks; 150mm felt much nicer than 130mm forks to me.

140 feels great on my next Gen Slackline, I thought that was what they ship their rolling chassis with?

It's the Next Gen one and now I'm thinking of 140.  Sod it off to buy now.

Do it. I really really liked the one I borrowed; probably more so than my Ti Switchback (second gen). The 853 tubeset is lovely to ride.

+1 for buying one. It’s the first frame in years I’ve not given thought to moving on. Always fun.
