seduced by the positive reviews as being a near perfect do-it-all bike, im sorely tempted to go for a Genesis Day 01 Alfine 8 or better still, Alfine 11.

Trouble is im skint, and cheap they 'aint..

Several online stores are offering anything from 6 months up to a whopping 36 months 0% finance on purchases of this value, is it a no brainer or am I about to make a decision im going to regret?

Oh, and whereabouts can I test ride one in the Surrey area?

I have purchased a bike and various bits over the years on interest free as I am always skint. Never a problem. Trouble is do you really want a nice bike for a commuter.?

I want it to be nice for added incentive to get off my motorbike and back on the bike every morning... in the biting cold windy rain...

Plus ideally i'd like to use it for general canal path, trail off road hooting, and carrying my young son.

a jack of all bikes if you will.

Plus i'm a total whore for 853.

Tis only £45 per month over 36 months.. I could cancel Sky Sports and recoup half of that instantly! Not much worth watching till the next Ryder Cup eh?
