I've stuck some 700c wheels with 35mm cross tyres on into my old Tinbred - but it looks like there is room to squeeze in something a bit fatter...
...so what skinny, semi-slick 29er tyres are out there? (or fatter CX tyres?)

wtb vulpine. narrow 2.1.
bontrager & wtb do ~40c cross tyres.
scwalbe do the landcruiser in 35, 40 & 47 (1.75")
