I want to take my boys to a MTB skills area so they can practice. Something like they have in Llandegla or FOD.
Im trying to stay as local as possible, however they do want to work on jump but mainly on table tops - and something they can get plenty laps in.
any suggestions for something local
Where in Shropshire? There's a pump track in Craven Arms and I think also in Telford.
also in Telford.
There's certainly a BMX track at Dawley, but it is/was run by the town council, or maybe Telford & Wrekin council, and not a free-for-all open facility.
Also there's Hills Lane BMX near Madeley which is quite a bit smaller
There's loads in Telford, Malinslee BMX Track, Ketley Millennium BMX Track, Wellington Road, Wombridge BMX Track, Admaston BMX Track and Leegomery BMX Track. But skills area in Shropshire I wish...
Burlish Bike Park ? Only just across the border in N Worcs .
Bayston Hill pump track used to be pretty good. Worth checking out as its pretty local.
I’ve been after a similar thing !
Im learning to jump. The skills area is ok at Llandegla but the jump line isn’t well maintained or that great. I can do the jumps in their skills area , but then the ones on B-Line are really nice table tops but huge in comparison
I would really like to find some progressive sized table tops somewhere in Shropshire!
Shrewsbury has a number of pump and BMX tracks, some of them links here
Upton Lane (recently refurbed/upgraded) - it has two tracks, a beginners and a main one:
