I am just about to order an Orange Five SE and have test rode and old 2008 Five S.
My dilema is the one i test rode was and 18", i am 5'8", the cross bar was v.close to my groin, i am thinking id be betetr suited to a 16"
Im coming off an 2008 Trek EX9 15.5 so i guess 16" would be the sensibl chose.

I'm 5'7" and I definitely wouldn't go bigger than the current 17.5" (meduim) Attack Trail that I ride. Ideally, I probably would have preferred the small. I say go for the small - you can always get a longer seatpost (but you won't need to).
