Is anyone riding a Pipedream Sirius and able to comment please?
Am eyeing one up as my next HT purchase but really want to run a SID 120, and also a 20mm bar (as that is what I have knocking around).
Is that going to be really uncomfortable on the neck - alarm bells about the stack are ringing, looking at the numbers... but real world experiences?
The alternative will be the new look Solaris when available
He wasn’t the same after Azkaban
*s****s*
🙂
Can you not stop messing about with your childish jokes? Its a Sirius question.
Note that the numbers on the website are with a sagged 100mm fork. Add ~19mm for the static sag with a 120mm fork. Yes, I’m giving a Sirius answer.

^^ Didn't get the recognition it deserved ^^

I have pedalled one around a car park.
I didn't buy one because of the low stack.
The posh titanium one that is due shortly and is on thier Facebook page has different size headtubes across the sizes.
@matt_outandabout - can you remember what fork and bar rise this was?
Tis the posh one that has caught my eye. and know there is a slightly bigger head tube but whether that is enough to make it comfortable, I don't know. It is way too much money to take a punt on.
Sorry, Fox 32mm and no idea of model or even travel, and bar not a clue!

There are an increasing number of high rise bars which make a lot of sense on modern bikes.
I’m fairly average height and run a 40mm rise bar on a Moxie with a 160mm fork - can’t imagine using a 20mm rise bar on a similar frame with a 40mm shorter fork!
I have 120mm Pikes, 20mm rise bars and one 10mm spacer. Never thought about it or noticed it being an issue. Unsagged the grips and seat are about level, and it feels pretty much the same as my similar geometry full sus bike when riding. I'm 5'10, I think fairly average in terms of relative proportions of arms / legs / torso etc. Long size. I also sometimes use rigid forks on it with an extra spacer and get similar bar position. For me it is a good position when seated climbing, fine for flats and standing up anyway for descents. Done some long days bike packing and not been a problem.
How tall are you? If you are very tall might be more of an issue. Probably some personal preference as well as to what people like.
That was way too sirius so just re-read the bikepacking.com review and go buy one.
I am not tall - 5'11" with average proportioned limbs! What length stem are you running on a "long", out of interest?
I did find that I got a neckache on a Solaris Max with a 120 fork and had to up the for to 140. Not a problem experienced on any other bike though.
I have read the bikepacking.com review.... hence the interest.....
Originally had a 35mm stem but swapped it with full sus bike one when changed frame so now 60mm. Both were fine for me, probably prefer it with the longer stem overall. I think quite a few people using 130 forks on them too and finding it works fine. Can you get a go on one to try it? I'm Edinburgh area if that's any help. Pedals bikes here are usually pretty good for getting bikes to demo as well and they provided mine.
