Probably been asked before, but I never seem to have any luck with the search engine on this site. What is the difference between sintered and semi-metallic brake pads?

on tradition industrial pads semi-metallic is a halfway house between sintered and organic where it is an organic style mix with some metallic particles included.
Sintered tends to have a higher % of metal.
