Best bike shop: Garage Bikes. They can rescue a Bank Holiday weekend's riding at the last minute in a way the online kit-shifters never could, and also make decent coffee. And they don't seem to mind that my maintenance regime is roughly "ignore it till it properly breaks then give it to Al"
Mountain bike personality of they year: Bella, the Garage Bikes dog. For a [s]fat[/s] big boned old labrador, surprisingly quick if you get your wheel in front of her. If Strava did Hound of the Mountains, she'd probably hold a few of 'em.

For Best Bike under £2500 I'd nominate a Bird Aeris.
The updated MK1.5 came out this year. In a simple but solid spec for maximum bang for your buck. Brilliant to ride for the money. And in orange obviously.

Personality of the year I'd go with Martin Ashton. The guy has taken an injury that literally changed his life and some how come through the other side. I've got no doubts he has dark days but he is inspirational.
Impossible to argue with Martin Ashton, that vid of him riding with danny macaskill and mates was just brilliant
Also have to mention 7 out of 7 wonder rachel atherton though for an amazing season

Bike shop of the year is definitely Blazing Saddles.
Given all the crap they've put up with it's amazing to see them doing so well.
Better than that, they've really surprised us with fantastic customer service on a few occasions this year when we've been let down by other shops.
Can't remember everyone's name, but the staff they have at the moment are genuinely excellent.
Top work people, Sue's looking forward to trying the AWOL when it arrives.
