I got knocked off my bike at a crossroads last thursday. I had the right of way the driver pulled out of the side road without giving way. She slowed down put didn't stop. I was doing about 25ish mph (road is national speed limit hit the front drivers wing. The bike is trashed. The frame appears to be ok but as I'm 17st I'm not overly happy with keeping the bike due to damage I can't see.
I've logged a claim for both the bike and injuries to myself. But are the insurers likely to let me say I'm not happy to keep the bike for my own peice of mind and have a new one?
EDIT: Bike is a 2015 Cube Peloton SL - Aluminium frame, Carbon forks and Mavic Aksiums.
