My Niner sir9 has been sawn into small pieces by the LBS under a warranty claim. I am upgrading to a Carbon Niner frame but seeing as my the old Sir 9 was converted to singlespeed over winter with a Niner carbon fork on the front I am need of another frame to be used as a singlespeed along the lines of the Niner but perhaps a little cheaper. My LBS have a Surly Karate Monkey that sort of fits the bill but just wondering if anyone had any other ideas.
Maybe an Onza Payoff especially with the 20% off deal
https://onza.com/collections/mtb-bikes/payoff-frames
But the Karate monkey sounds appealing
Stooge?
20% off Onza? Looks like 10 on the website?
Website said code SPRINGSALE20 for 20% off the MTB range, does it not include bikes?
Gotta be a Stooge
Just built up this steel 853 Pipedream skookum singlespeed, tapered, non boost, rides bloody lovely

Kona Unit?
Surly km is a nice frame takes 142 or 148 rear wheel, 650b+ or 29er.
standard fork is for a boost hub, but it’s a 44mm head tube so world is your oyster.
i love mine, although i have gears on it.
Looked on the Pipedream website and that skookum is only available in 16in and the new version frame doesn't seem to come in an L. I need 19 or 20 in frame. That Stooge looks nice. Anyone got one as a SS?
Love my Stooge Mk1 run SS, like a big BMX, Mk3 has ability to take sus fork or aftermarket fork...
2016 genesis longitude. 135 backend with horizontal dropouts and a tapered headtube.
I have a 2018 Kona Unit - 44mm headtube which can run tapered with an external lower cup. Comes with 27.5+ wheels but can swap in 29er no problem. I would really recommend that bike!
Comes with 135QR dropouts but can be swapped for 142 as well.
I visited Andy stooge for a look the other day I had no interest in the mk3 at all I only went to see the speedball but had a quick spin on mk3 and was blown away it feels and looks lovely
I've a soma b-side in a medium that I'm thinking about letting go if you're interested? 650b, sliding dropouts, not boost, 44mm HT and most importantly it's orange
Thanks everyone but I think a medium is going to be too small.
OMG! Just seen the address of. Stooge Cycles. They’re only just up the road from parents. I think a visit is in order next time I’m back in the UK.
My Salsa El Mariachi fits the bill, not sure if they are still available though.
Salsa El Mar is perfect, but no longer available new

How was the Speedball?
It looked awesome and felt zippy almost like a bmx which was odd given the size. No toe overlap either one little thing I kinda felt was I felt a bit perched on it ( on rather than in as they say, God I hate that phrase) where as I didn't on the mk3. Granted the seat height wasn't quite right tbh it felt a bit like my Jones before I dropped the bb but it was already at low setting. Which is odd given the bb is lower on the speedball by 10mm iirc. I love the look of the speedball and truss forks but the mk3 was something else. It was only a five min spin of each though so not a real test but I'm fairly sure I want a mk3 now. If only they had a truss fork lol
