Due to where i live, Norfolk, most of my riding is done from front door and linking up bits of bridleway and trails by road, so have always just ridden a singlespeed bike mostly.

Currently have a tired looking Singular Peregrine which i love, but frame is a bit knackered now...

Looking for frames that are easy to SS with "dangler for a knockaround, new Peregrine is £1k for frame and still seems to have the crazy top overlap, other options are Surly, Soma Wolverine, Bombtrack Arise etc...

Anyone think of anything else, i note Pinnacle don't do an SS Arkose anymore, Charge used to do an SS disc Plug, something along those lines...?

There's a size medium disc plug for sale in the UK Bike Parts facebook group...

Think Trek Crockett has sliding/swinging drops?

Smokestone Mr Harry can come with sliding dropouts.... If titanium is within budget and you want propper big tyre capabilities.

I’ve got a Pinnacle Arkose with an EBB. Think it was a gear hub version but I bought it as a frame/fork set from Evans.
It’s a Large and potentially for sale if you’ll fit it/interested.

Singular Peregrine is steel? It would be relatively easy to get it repainted/powdercoated. Make it feel like a new bike.

Thanks both for Arkose and Alice, but large too big for me, i usually ride a medium and have t-rex proportion arms/ legs... both out of stock to buy new too it looks like.

Jonba, yep Peregrine is steel, and i wouldn't ever get fully rid of it as been great, but 13 years of being ridden all year round and it is very tired.

The Crockett had sliding dropouts from 2017-2019 (I think!). The current model definitely doesn't have them.

Assuming 'tired' is just referring to looks then I'd send the Singular to Argos for a paintjob. None of the above options are as nice.

Something with a PF30 bottome bracket and then use a Problem Solvers or Wheels Manufacturing eccentric?

That's what I've done with my Ti Kite (although I'm using gears on it now).

I use a WI eccentic hub on my fixed gravelly commuter. Bung it in any frame.

Mattsccm, does it work well?

I have always been drawn to EBB and have a couple of Singular, had a Stooge etc, i had forgotten about the WI hubs, thanks for that could be a good solution..

Excellent as far as I can tell. Done a few hundred miles only with it set as a fixed. Bought it second hand for 40 quid built into a 26" MTB wheel. Rebuilt it with 29er rim.

I have a Bombtrack Arise, bought as frame only. Lovely looking frame, really happy with it.

I'm on a transition rapture.

It has swinging dropouts.

They have not been made for a while so it would be second hand
