I use 3/32" chains...
Thats not a 1/8 chain geoffj
KMC make a very good link for SS chains. it has a locking clip so won't need shortening or wheel removing to split the chain.
Good old fashioned split links with a spring clip. source???? had a handful in the shed for some reason.
Steve - perhaps not, but it is the image which goes with the product.

Or you could just take the bionic man's picture into your LBS 😉
Regular mountain bike chains are as strong a chain as you'll ever need. SS don't need a special chain.

But a BMX chain is usually quite a bit cheaper to buy and some SS kit is designed for and works better with a 1/8" chain.
can't use a 9sp with my sprocket/chainring.
And bmx chains are under a tenner, 9 speeds a lot more.
