As above can anyone recommend trail(s) similar. Group of lads of different experience rode it Sunday, loop1 only due to timescales(3 hours approx), and loved it. Due to the fact not at a trail centre as such BUT, and important, still way marked for all riding ability. Cheers.

What did you enjoy about it?

The Syfydrin trail at Nant yr Arian might well be up your street - plenty of grin-factor built manmade singletrack but a genuine sense of being "out there" in the landscape too.

Loop 2 is quite boring really.

Innerleithen has a similar non-trail centre feel to it. Its miles better than Glentress

Very tight twisty trails - even the very man-made berm/swoops where fun - exactly as MrGreedy and banners have eluded - no masses of people - yes of course it is man made but still feel more natural - we normally ride Dartmoor and plan weekend trips just to experience other riding.

sarcy answer: your local river/stream with signs pointing to it?
genuine answer: the marin trail, not far away either.

Marin trail is really good fun, although there is a fair bit of fire road between the singletrack sections. The last descent is up there with the best trail centre descents I've ridden.
