Today i am very happy, for the first time since i bought a road bike i have done a reasonable length route (65miles) solo and averaged 18mph
for some reason i have got it into my head that this is an important milestone and i am now a 'proper' roady 🙂 I have no idea why this arbitary destinction is important but it makes me happy. I think 18 avg does get banded about despite being so dependant on weather/ route/ distance etc.
now im going to fail to make a point and go and eat curry........
have a good eve!
once i get seeded in a cx race i can call my self a cx racer instead of a cx rider
Meh. I did 55 miles at a 13mph average. I'm not a proper roadie.
6000ft of climbing though and some savage hills...
Top 10 in a nw league cx race (best so far is 21st)
Cat 2 Road license (currently 3rd)
Weigh 80kg (was 91kg at xmas,now 86kg)
Before I turn 40....next october.
Need to pull my finger out 😯
i did my 2nd uplift last wednesday, i am now a Grandad version of Peaty....... 😀
and gonna buy myself a dh bike cos i love uplifts....... 8)
yes looking at map the other day i thought 10 1in6's by shortest (road or trail) route with rule being had to be distinct hills - got it mapped and will award myself at least one beer
edit and 18mph average deserves a curry - arbitary yes but any challenge is better than the sofa
for me 18mph average would be several curries!
