Looking at them maybe for October, what's their riding, set up etc like?
Been a couple of times a few years back and had a great time I think Alan has upped his game a bit since!
We went last year primarily for price and ease (really short transfer, cheap bike hire, convenient location). Weather was great, local food and bars were great. Riding was fun but less full on than on other trips (or may be that was us). Depends what you are after really but we would go again which has to say something. The free bar and cooked breakfast probably helped too.
bubs sounds like the trip we did to Cyprus, I wouldn't bother with that again. Don't want to be scared witless but a bit of a challenge is fine. Maybe its because it followed the Ultimate BC trip we did? Nothing is going to top that!
Yeah, been with Sierra before. Not sure I'd go back... the set up isn't quite as professional as you'd expect from someone having run a guiding company for so long.
They also seem to get through quite a few guides, which may tell you something.
On the flip side there are many people who go back year after year.
The 2 guides that we had during our week (who were both ace) have since gone to Mallorca and set up their own company - search Mallorca Mountain Biking. I might try with them at some point (already booked for the Alps next week though!).
I’d be trying Nathan Mcomb at Enduro Malaga were I to go to southern Spain again. He’s a young lad who’s sponsored by Vitus, and who has guided for several of the MTB holiday companies in the area (including Sierra)
He’s a cracking young lad who’s set up on his own, with loads of experience of how other companies get it right and wrong.
+1 on Nathan and Laura at Enduro Malaga. Best guides going.
I've ridden with Sierra MTB too, and would echo the previous poster on them. They do have a great setup with the apartment, villa and pool etc. If there's a large group and some / all of you are as interested in the beers as the riding it's worth considering
I have been with them a few times and have always had a good time, will be on one of their white villages tours in September and am really looking forward to it😎
what about ciclomontana they're good..
came to recommend Nathan. He utterly rips on a bike and is a smashing chap. Great guide , Laura hus partner is also very cool. I hope you like dogs!
He can ride a bike alright!
We have been to Sierra for the past few years and thoroughly enjoy the place. Rides are planned to suit the ambitions and abilities of the guests, usually there will be two or three separate rides each day to cater for this.
