If I'm being harsh, it's a bit busy for me. I think black tyres would help, imo of course

Way too busy with the green highlights, light colouresd tan walks, wheel decals, seat post decal etc,.
With a frame that 'jazzy' everything else needs to be black with no decals or other colour.

Get rid of the tan walls. They are always appalling unless everything else is black. Then get a marker and get rid of either the green or the yellow.

But what do I know? I'm a bit colour challenged. My new bike:

Just spent an hour cleaning a chain, then waxing. Then checked it, the chain checker saying it’s quite a bit too long.
Oh well it’s too clean not to use.

First thoughts, shame it's a road bike. Then after reading the opinions and the pictures of quite dull bikes, quite like it. With further consideration, I have a list of areas in which the busyness isn't quite there yet: rear derailleur, spider or crank arms, handlebar tape or brake levers. 🙂

Mechanical shifting on every bike so far? Times must be tough in IT middle management these days.

I have to admit that, while I am all in favour of going for disc brakes next time, electronic shifting is the last technology on earth I would have any interest in.

Oh, and no IT here. I'm a techno-hater.

They all look rubbish - not a dropper post in sight, never mind the lack of suspension.

I like it, @SaxonRider.
That front wheel doesn't seem to have nearly enough spokes though.

There's a reason that bar tape is black.

Also, Saxon, skinwalls...

Well, new to me are these two. Inherited from my late dad - I certainly don't need a couple more bikes. The red one is unridden, when it arrived he was too ill to ride it so I'll do the honours. And I've always liked that Cinelli, it was my favourite one to take out when back visiting. Might pop a front brake on though.

This one's mine, 11 years old and a proper Trigger's broom, right down to the seat stays. I'll never not ride this.

If we're only doing road bikes...

It did originally look like this, not sure sure whether to go back or not though (might put the drops back on but keep all the pink).

that bikes new to me this year, I'm in the flatlands of lincs and weigh a touch over 80kg, they are a decent shape so handle it well, have ran deeper on other bikes with no issues

climbing? barely a decent one within an hour of me, i did do the yorkshire beast 200miles and 5000m of climbing on Zipp 808's once though, so no issues probably

Great thread ... I needs to work out the photo thing... I also like the variety of drop bar set-up angles, not a criticism btw, bars have to fit (form follows function;), so thanks for posting, brilliant pictures of bikes. Colour works...but so does black...just need hi-viz for the clothes on roads!

Not colourful and very entry level compared to most on this thread, I 'inherited' this recently - a colleague was on CTW and left, so I took over the lease. Barely used and only two years of a fiver a week from my gross salary.

Turns out I quite like a bit of road cycling to mix things up, if only I could quickly get clipped in after traffic lights! These three bolt cleats take some practice!
