I've decided I need a work stand as Mrs Boab is fed up of me using the clothes drier.

Anyone had experience of this..

or this one for 100 quid more and looks very similar.

If you know of a bargain, please tell

Been using a park pcs-9 for a few years now, think they can be had for about £80 which seems reasonable.

I've got a Revolution stand from Edinburgh Bike I picked up for £60. Folds up for easy storage too so keeps my Mrs happy as it's not sitting built up in the middle of the spare room like my last one.

Search out a kestrel repair stand on ebay, tend to go for either an awful lot or very cheap.

Lifetime purchase, proper bike shops use them 😉

I have the eBay stand and it's great. The only issue I have with it is the clamp if you use it to suspend by the seatpost. It's not strong enough to cope with the front end weight of a full sus set of forks so the bike always tips forward. Not a huge issue but works better if you can suspend the bike by the crossbar.

Bike Hand Repair Stand at High on Bikes for £55 posted.

I've had mine for 2 years and its been brilliant. Well built, sturdy and folds up pretty well too. No need to spend a fortune when you can have this middle priced, well performing one.

Think it got an award in a cycle mag and loads of good reviews on Amazon which is why I went for it.

Park PCS10 is a very safe bet.

I have the Feedback Sports Sport model which is very good but the Park is better where space is tight as it can be used closer the wall than the Feedback Sports type that are a tripod base.

The earlier Bike Hand type were metal upper parts before the clamp but I tried one of the newer all plastic ones and found it horribly flexy.

I have exactly the one you link to on ebay OP, although it was from Lidl not ebay.

It's ok, but the clamp never holds the bike tight enough - never dropped it, but the tube being held can rotate a bit. Beyond that it is solid enough, and for the price I think perfectly acceptable. I would like a better one, but it's not anywhere near enough an issue that I need a better one.
