need some help!
so, 25mile commute, 80% road, 20% muddy paths, 2 pinch and 1 long climbs (all road) all roads are horrible chippy tarmac scottish backroads!
so, before i spend (more) cash on my bikes was wondering what peoples tick list might be to do the above?
my rear shock has full lockout, as does the front.
wondering about best tyres - Conti GP's 26" ?
wondering about bars - go narrow and flat?
tri bars (can get windy!)? or bar ends?
then gearing currently 3x9....but could go 1x9???
wheels - mine are heavy, but reliable, i could keep them for off road and get some others that might take "thinner" road tyres - or do most MTB wheels take the full widths of 26" road tyres? 26x 1.125 and above...
cheers for any help!
EDIT; tyres? :
