Bikes for the fuller figured or perhaps braver types, the unbreakables.
Always see ultra lightweight or big DH bikes but I'm interested in stuff that works and keeps working for the average person.
Had it from new, still running alot of the original parts, it's been downhill raced, Morzined and Snowdoned, XC trudged and trail centre hacked and hucked.
Shrugged it all off and asked for more. I love it. (wish it was 5lb lighter but then would have cost more or broken more!)
cynic-al - MemberI'm a bit tubby but this bad-boy has seen me through a lot:

Still in one piece? Good going.
Smooth rider or jessie?
Neither I had a new front triangle from a joker recently but was my fault completely for breaking the Isis so I'm not holding it against it.
What the... that Orange is... different. But not in a good way.
Bloody hell that's purple.
loved my stinky, reliable and simple
you will love les gets on that thing
Are those revs or lyriks? If it's the latter I'm suprised how normal it looks, thinking of sticking soem on my prophet.
Proper bikes!!
nice kitchen, alpin!
Tough as old boots. Semi-bling build, with some X0 in there, Easton Havoc bars, Time platforms, SDG Ti saddle, ODI Intense etc. Now with matching RQ tyres and spoke protector removed!

Copes with everything my burly frame can throw at it!
My old Stinky. Awesome bike. Cost be bog all, was lobbed off (and fallen off) everything at Chicky with no problem.

SX Trail. Much fun. And not as bad uphill as you might think.

Trailstar. Much abused. Especially during a year long attempt to ride everything high, steppy and concrete where I used to live. It's also been run over but heavy bikes. Twice.

Only got the DMR now. Easiest bike in the world to bunnyhop.
I like that Gspot looks sturdy! I know it's not made for it but does it climb OK or is the front end light?

My 6'5" 16 odd stone self has complete faith in this...
I've always liked the look of the GSpot and as I'm 6'5" and 16 odd stone -what size is it?
Nice colour.
So tough guys, who's got the lightest tough bike?
Jedi's Demo is the hardest bike on here - it can't even be stolen! 😀
and there's no such thing as a light tough bike, just deluded riders.
Katies, still to finish off.

I built this on the burlier side of things...
Coil Pikes / 717's on Pro2's / Hone/XT drive-train / Thomson/Easton finishing bits / 180/205 Juicy 5's...
Initial concerns about the 717's put to rest, 2yrs of my 16st hasn't buckled them, running 2.35 Nev/Blue Groove combo.
I like it, super stiff frame, very active unless Pro-Pedal is on, but not in a wallowy - bad way. Was running an 04 SWorks Enduro before, 4yrs of hammering that & no problems to report. Fancy an Orange 5 next.

It climbs ok, better since I went up a size (see below) as i can run the saddle a little further forward and the balance is better. The pro-pedal on the dhx is wound on for every climb, as shall we say, the suspension is rather active if you dont! It starts to shine on the pointy down bits though...

I went from a custom finished 19"
to a 20.5" and the big fella is the better bike by far. the 19" was more nimble, but the big one just feels the better bike to ride, more stable, and more raggable at speed. And it doesn't look so much like I've just nicked a kids bike...
Interesting, I've just moved up to a 19 from a 17 and I'm finding the bike is more stable but slightly less chuckable on the twisties. Haven't had too many chances to ride so will need to reserve judgement. I have been looking at frames for the future and have narrowed it down to a Morewood, Heckler and now a G spot.
Best case mine will end up being fine with a shorter stem which will save me a grand and a half!
gw, you knows it!! 🙂

My trusty Balfa, considered selling it because it is a bit lardy but it just rides sooo well i cant part with it. Now sporting a DTswiss shock which has slimmed it down a little.
